Our Church Leadership

Our Church thrives because of the energy and style of the people who have stepped up to lead. Here are a few of the people that make our church community special:

Diane Baker - Pastor

Before opening her private counseling practice in 2000 Diane Baker worked in corporate America for 16 years. She holds a Mechanical Design Engineering Technology degree from Michigan Technological University; a Masters in Counseling from Oakland University with a specialization in Marriage and Family Counseling; and a Masters of Divinity degree from Ecumenical Theological Seminary.  She is currently working on her Doctor of Ministry degree from Ecumenical Theological Seminary.  Diane was also trained through the Lombard Mennonite Peace Center on how to work effectively with conflict in churches. Diane enjoys reading, golf, scuba diving, landscaping and decorating.  She lives in Clarkston with her husband Dean and their two miniature dachshunds Jake and Elwood.

Teri Lynn Barnaby - Director of Music Ministry

Kim Eve - Secretary

The last 24 years has mainly been focused on raising our eight children.  In between birthing children and domestic duties, I found some time to venture out.  I attended business school and was certified as a medical records specialist.  I worked as a restaurant/banquet manager and a few years later as a mortgage processor at T&C Federal Credit Union. My family and I first came to B.U.C.C in January 2010. I'm so thankful that God led us here.  We have so enjoyed getting to know our family here at Bethel.

Lance Shew - Council President

Lance Shew, the Bethel Council President, is a retired engineer, having worked for Williams International Corporation in Walled Lake for 26 Years.  He grew up in Clinton, IN.  While attending Purdue University, he married his high school sweetheart some 50 years ago.  He and his wife, Nola, currently live in Commerce, MI.  Their three children and families also live in Michigan.  Lance is an amateur woodworker making more sawdust and wood chips than anything else.  Nola and Lance enjoy traveling, sometimes on their Gold Wing motorcycle. Chris Eve - Grounds Keeper

Chris was born in Indiana.  He spent some of his earlier years working for the family masonry business in Texas and then later in Michigan.  For the last eleven years Chris has been supervising and running a landscaping crew.  He personaly specializes in hard scape.  Chris and his wife, Kim, find it a busy and rewarding life raising their eight children.
